My friends and I are going to build a go-kart this summer, and I am preparing a preliminary cost estimate. What is the cost of construction (ie, cutting and welding) a general framework, and that would be a good material to build out (steel or chromium-molybdenum)? There are some predefined frame around the Internet, but they cost at between $ 200 to $ 700. I intend to use at least 5 hp engine, and maybe a converter, so as to capture the force.
